The Case of Hotel California and the Eagles

Don Henley was trying to get back his handwritten lyrics from the Eagles. A rare book dealer and scholar grifter allegedly sold them to two men, one of whom is now dead. The defendants tried to use a false statement of provenance to coerce Don Henley into buying back his stolen property. These same cats were also trying to launder the lyric sheets through either Christie's or Sotheby's.
