Reprogramming White Blood Cells to Target Cancerous Leukaemia Cells

In recent years, doctors have begun to treat leukaemias by reprogramming some of the patient's own white blood cells to target their cancer. This is called CAR-T therapy but it takes a lot of time and can be very expensive. Researchers in Great Ormond Street say they've now created 'cloaked' white blood cells that are ready to go immediately. Rousseem Kasim has now treated six children this way.
