Do What You Have to Do to Help a Victim of the Abduction?
I spoke to my sister who'd been abducted by the LRA before I took on this case. And it was one of the most difficult decisions. But I think that my sister came around it and told me, you're a lawyer, do what you have to do. People who were victims of Thomas Quayolo still lived in northern Uganda. They expressed this concern, but nobody told me in my face, don't do it. For 12 years, I spent time not just being a lawyer to Quayolo. I became a personal friend to him."
