When did we stop allowing kids to leave the house and go? Because I could leave the house as a kid and I'd have to be back until it was dark, essentially. My understanding is that in a lot of other countries, kids have a little more leeway. Here, they call it free-range parenting when they let the kids just do their thing,. which is how I was raised.
