The war in afghonistan against the soviet union attracted a large number of arab youths. Many went back home, including usama ben laden who went back to saudy arabia and where, for a very brief period, trid to join family business. But they had spent too much time in war to be just settled back into no civilian life back in their countries. So they began to congregate around causes that would take them back to jahar. They all decided to go back to afghanistan where it all had begun. We are supported by the collective will of the world.
