The chosen candidate would provide round the clock care and companionship to alice sullivan, an elderly woman suffering from parkinson's disease. Despite gentle probing, missus crosts never discussed her personal life or history. It was clear that she was deeply religious, as she spent her spare time locked in her bedroom reading the book of man. In a rare moment of vulnerability on christmas day in 19 92, she revealed that she had two sons, one of whom had died in a car accident.
