Learning Bayesian Statistics

CHAPTER

Is Bayes Theorem Really a Good Tool for Quantum Mechanics?

Bayesian Bayes theorem is very closely connected to quantum mechanics and linear algebra in a way I hadn't expected. We recently wrote a paper looking for very strange things in the collider. So we developed some techniques to try to tell these apart, like, well, you have a jet from a normal quark or is it from a dark matter particle? And so we used machine learning to develop a classifier that could trying to tell the difference between these two.
