I'm fascinated by a figure like Bobby Kennedy because of the paradoxes and the contradictions in him. I mean, Joe Kennedy famously said Bobby's my boy when he hates you, you stay hated. But at the same time, he showed subversional loyalty to McCarthy. So I guess we can give him credit in that regard. Well, it sometimes also shows that political virtue is distinct from personal virtue.
