The General Strike Against the Czar

The general strike was made possible by cross class solidarity. Vitta proposed creating a unified min under a single prime minister who would be principally responsible for the affairs of state. The czar was deeply unhappy about the reforms vitta proposed. He believed it was his sacred duty to retain the divine principle of absolute autocracy that had been passed down to him from his ancestors, and which originated from god.
