Grief and Moral Virtue
Grieving is probably something that we can learn how to do. My own research has not uncovered any sort of psychological work on this question. I think there is some connection between learning to grieve and having good moral character over one's lifetime. But I'm not quite sure if that exactly hits the nail on the head. If you think like certain emotions, sadness or more important than others like anxiety or resentment, then okay. That rough equation sounds correct to me. And my idea is that think about a teenager who loses her mother with whom she has a very loving and close relation but doesn't mourn much. What we would tell her is you're grieving incorrectly that you're doing it wrong
