Why Moses Allows for Divorce
Moses allowed for divorce as long as you give a writing of it. Jesus never airs on the side of justice or mercy because he never airs. He explains himself and that's what he's going to do next. But notice the kind of exception he's giving here fornication. Adultery. Something on that level where it has truly broken hearts, lost confidence, deep wounds, broken. Those are the kinds of things that let the language that Jacob uses in Jacob chapter 2 to these wicked Nephite husbands who have been immoral against their wives.
