Is Sustainability Good for Business?
Sustainability is inherently linked with risk mitigation, and other than the fines and litigation that can result in non-sustainable practices. I try to help my clients think of benefits such as brand equity, customer loyalty, the ability to recruit. There's even proven lower costs of capital that are associated with more sustainable companies. Do you ever see companies that struggle with balancing ESG initiatives and their business economics? It's a struggle for most companies today, especially those that are high emitters.
