Is Twitter Incentivized to Do Outrageous Things?
There's something about developing your own internal compass rather than am. And that's a hard thing, is our desires and interests and what actually is fulfilling over a long stretch of time changes. I've sometimes quipped that if you think twitter inherently incentivises am, sort of like outrage or something, then you're confused about the nature of incentives. A, likes and retweats aren't inherently meaningful or valuable or rewarding. You can plausibly make some money based on just the fact that you now a bunch of attention that you kind of get to steer a little bit. But it's pretty hard to actually use that like, well, likeit its ot.
