The conflict at the heart of wall street was between martin sheen, who was a trade union man, blue colar worker. And his son, charlie sheen, worked for gordon geko, who was michael douglas. The corporate raiders were emboldened by ragan and they would go after companies whose stock prices had fallen. They would actually break those companies up, sell them off in individual bits and trouser the profit. Even though people thought that was like a hollywoodization, ayes, the plot was actually very real. It was actually really, really well structured.
