It does it in a couple of different ways, but the one way is that all these ascending signals will talk to an area called the peri-aquaductal gray matter. So this is step four. And this is modulating the no-ceaception. That's right. No-ceACEption. What actually happens here is a couple of things. Right? And I think it's amazing. The first thing is that at the same time that your body's trying to tell you, hey, there's pain, it's also trying to dampens that pain paradoxically and do it in two places.
