Kenya is experimenting with ways to use battery technology and transportation. A few startups in Nairobi specifically have swappable batteries set up for motorcycle taxis. The idea is you can use two or three batteries over the course of a day. It doesn't take you very long to fill up. You just pop a new battery in there. And some writers have learned that it is cheaper than doing so with gasoline.
