Children are given basic training with weapons and then sent off to be cannon fodder, as you say. Some children are also drawn into picking cocoa, which is this really difficult task that's quite well suited to children's smaller hands. A and then also, or girls who are brought into the groups, they are often used to lure in male recruits, or as informants, or even paid militants themselves sometimes. I suppose there is a responsibility on some of the companies that people listening to this work for to see whether somewhere down the line there are child soldiers involved. Absolutely.
