How to Treat a Metastatic Brain Malignancy

This is relatively common in patients with metastatic disease. About a third of patients may have focal neuro deficits or cognitive problems. Only about 20% having new seizures. It's important to start seizure prophylaxis, typically with levature azetam. And additionally, if there's any edema around the sites of metastasis, it'simportant to start dexamethasone.
