The History of the Israelites

The Israelites tricked its city's defenders into leaving the city. Once inside they killed 12,000 men, women, and children. Two civilizations of Canaan were thus utterly slaughtered. By this time, having superintended the ethnic cleansing of tens of thousands of indigenous Canaanites, Joshua was advanced in years.
