Light and Melatonin Production - What's Going On?
Blue light and daylight triggers serotonin. When the sun sets, it produces melatonin in the same gland. It sends a message to the brain to suppress functions. As long as I know where melatonin light is, it doesn't mean I'm inactive. So that little lamp is bashing out 10,000 lux. That means sometimes it's right at the top, sometimes it's lower.
