The argument says, imagine the greatest conceivable being that that being exists in the Anselmian sense. And then Anselm asks, does that thing also exist in reality? Does it exist in the real world? If you say no, then the thing you're thinking of can be improved upon. It can be made greater by imagining that it also exists in reality. So what we're looking for as a symmetry breaker between why is it okay for Anselm to do that with God and not to do it with pizzas or island rights?"
