The Confusion of Star Wars
Star Wars begins with episode four. So you are led to believe that you are picking up a story halfway through, which gives it this kind of great propulsive quality. But it does mean that you do think, well, what happened in the first three that determined this kind of system of government? And wait, where do the X-wings come and who's building them? There's an academy, but does the Rebel Alliance have their own academy? And they've been hunted? So wouldn't they just bomb this academy? And it is a sort of very confusing set of structures.
