The Importance of Creativity in AI
Dan: I think a crux that maybe we have is this this thing about creativity or knowledge creation being the true factor between like whether something might be dangerous or not. Ben: It's very possible that we create artificial systems that are dangerous and can't create knowledge. Dan: If you say no they have to limit the subject to only quote AGI catastrophic stuff then I don't basically almost by definition I put it into the dumb camp the computer virus camp. And I also recognize that I'm creating knowledge and creativity so these words kind of don't mean very much when you overuse them.
