Martinez: The hardest thing to walk away from is who you are. We can think about our identity as both internal and external, the way that we view ourselves and how other people view us. And what she said was one of the things that was making her quit was that she felt that she was a wuss for walking away in ER culture. Being able to step apart from maybe I'll hate the job also had a lot of stuff of like cost stuff.
Annie Duke is a former poker player and author. She holds a World Series of Poker (WSOP) gold bracelet from 2004 and at one point won more money in WSOP history than any other female. She is still in the top four as of September 2021, despite being retired from poker, last cashing at a tournament 2010.
She is the author of three phenomenal books Thinking In Bets, How To Decide, and Quit.
