World War II: The End of the Empire in the World?
Domination of the world has, of course, declined. It hid its peak, as you said, at the end of world war two. We're now in a period third. The analogy to the roman empire is not completely wrong. As in the case of rome, the united states is under severe attack from within. You can't overcome the economic development, introstructure, building loans and so on with bombs.
