Leverage Trading for Cryptocurrency Traders
Leverage is when you increase your exposure to the crypto market through borrowed money. For every one dollar move in the price of bit coin, the underlying position will move by ten times. The most well known leverage instruments for crypto traders are futures. These are not the same futures instruments that you see in traditional finance. This is because many of these futures instruments are perpetual, meaning no expiry and they have leverage of up to 100 times. They're also being used by all kinds of market participants, from large institutional investors to miners and whales.
