I've Been Sober Since I Was 19

When she was in the seventh grade, her mam caught her and a friend drinking. She also gave blow jobs to two ninth grade boys at a party. The whole school knew about it; parents didn't want their kids hangig out with the school slet. And so that's when shame really became my identity. When i got sober at 19, it had been years since i'd had a female friendship last more than a month or so. But through sobriety, i learned how to be a friend - but it was a struggle.
