What's the Point of Zero Interest Rates?

Bonds have a very simple mathematical relationship to interest rates. But stocks also are basically on some level the present value of future cash flows. And in general, when interest rates go up, the presentvalue of anything goes down. Interest rates affect the stock market in three ways.
