The Fog of the Movie

The movie tries so desperately to push this idea of government corruption. The only way that you can justify having this incredible loss of life is by making it all actually the story of a touching reunion between an estranged father and daughter. It doesn't matter how many buildings crumble how many lives are lost as long as there's one moment where a young girl can look at her father with a newfound look of respect for the hero he has become. I was just like I'm at the Cannes Film Festival what the fuck am I doing watching this?
