The Battle of Panipat
The Battle of Panipat, as it became known, was over relatively quickly. An estimated 16,000 men were killed, mostly from Ibrahim Lodi's side. This battle is considered the official beginning of the Mughal dynasty. Four days later, Babur entered Delhi as its new ruler. He visited the tombs of famous people and had the Khudbar read in his name.
