Ukrainian Children Abducted by the Russian Federation and Belarus
The foreign desk has been publishing a number of stories on the thousands of Ukrainian children abducted by the Russian Federation and Belarus this week. Today's piece looks at how that same practice is also being applied to the elderly and the vulnerable. People tell us they were abused and neglected most commonly had their citizenship papers and documents taken away and given the Russian citizenship instead. One elderly woman told us how she was forced to donate blood that was given to Russian soldiers on the front lines.
