Jim Bowie's Knife

The most famous painting of Jim Bowie at all is him at the Alamo leaping out of his sick bed and shooting a pair of Mexican soldiers with abrasive pistols that he's concealed under his bed. For Bowie not to have his knife at the end would be unthinkable. David Crockett actually probably hated Bowie because we know he wrote a letter complaining about his behavior. There is no evidence whatsoever that his famous knife was ever used even as like a camp tool in the battle.
