Just asking questions for the sake of it is not an act of intelligence. And if you ask questions and end up down some crazy, insane conspiracy theory rabbit hole, that's not a sitf intelligence. There has to be some sort of filtering and sense making process there. Sometimes the conspiracy nuts a right about certain things, and then it gets adopted - which is ironic, right? Like, they keep asking the questions, but a lot of the time it leads them to places absolutely insane. So i guess what i'm trying to emphasize there is that questioning has a dark side as well, and it can go really badly wrong.
In this episode Nasos & Andrea discuss: how to ask great questions, the role of curiosity in progress and the impact of modern media and technology on expertise, sensemaking and democracy.
