Ravy Shankar - The First Indian Musician?
Ravi shanko came to the west in 19 56, and it was a kind of very deliberate attempt to take indian music out to the world. He'd become a big starwith in india, but i think the seed had been planted back in his youth when he was in this international dance troop. The vast majority said his connection with george harrison and the beetles even in india,. people tend to know him now as the first thing they know about him is the connection with the beetle tastic - which fascinates me.
