So much of our culture warring is built on the assumption that if we can just get control of X, this institution or this narrative in the culture, it will shape hearts and minds. What ends up happening is you kind of have this continual Lucy with the football phenomenon where 20, 25 years ago, Christian leaders were saying if we can achieve ABC and D in religious liberty doctrine, worse, we'll be golden. Guess what? We achieved ABCD a bonus C and a bonus F. In church of clean attendance keeps declining. There is every generation from boomers down, it's less church attending than the generation before it. And so then now, well,religious liberty didn't do
