The Atonement Can Fix Broken Things
In Matthew 12, the Pharisees say they want a sign from Jesus and he rebukes them. But isn't it Gideon that asked the Lord to put the do on the fleece? If you are asking for a sign thinking the sign will cause you to believe, then you are a wicked and adulterous generation. The scriptures seem to open the door for asking for a confirmation of belief. Signs can confirm belief. And I think that's what Gideon was doing.
