The Tendency of Neutral Marking in Languages
In Tagalog, for example, you can put a morpheme in between two things and it's not clear whether it's really marking one or the other. That just strikes me as interesting. It seems like that would be something that you couldn't really stick as a typological thing. But yeah, I would not expect any language to have this as a thorough going thing. And now we'll leave that as an exercise for the listeners.
