Shouts Is a Weird Pop Song

The band were inspired and obsessed with the Californian psychologist Arthur Janoff, the final scream. The hurting was beautiful, but it's also a political statement as they moved into this political arena. And I listen back to big chair and I, what really strikes me again, getting back to the weirdness of it, is just how some of the arrangements in the musicality of that album connect on such a mass level.
