Since the last financial crisis kind of ebbed, we've had annual inflation rates of below 2% just about every year since then. There's only been two years where the average rate was above 2%. We crossed the 5% threshold in May of 2021, and then it kept climbing 9.1% in June of 2022 is the peak. And it's been coming down sort of haltingly, but steadily a bit stubbornly maybe since then.
