Is There a Transference of Cultures?

The notion that there is a transference of cultures, that all you have with a lot of emissaries gave from one culture to another, is not so. Herda did his best to conceive of some kind of united march of man and towards a single, harmonious, peaceful ideal called, by him, humanity. All this is pure nonsense. It's quite clare that these civilizations are something which must be understood in themselves. They are not steps towards one another. This is another strongly herdereal thesis. To regard one culture as a step towards another culture is to misunderstand it.
