Isaiah 53 is one of the so-called servant songs in Second Isaiah. Most scholars believe that this text, Isaiah 40 through 55, was written by a different author or set of authors than what's called First Isaiah. We're going to focus on the final song, Isaiah 52, 13 through 53, 12.
