The Pushback to Mary of Bethany

I imagine there is some pushback among certain segments of the scholarly community from folks who are a little more comfortable with the church working in a way that serves their interests. You know, it's interesting though, the textual critics are more open to it than you would have thought. I think people are interested in this possibility. And the question is the way the church turned out, is that the way that Jesus wanted it or is that how Peter wanted it? That's the real question that's being asked here.
