He says he doesn't want to politicize thes because it's all "about the dignity of every single human person" His father loved womanizing, alcohol and cigarettes when they were in the U.S., which is why his son didn't see him as much after their divorce. But Alex still maintained a respectful relation with his dad until he went into monastic life.
