Sally Kohn: sedentary and of an unhealthy weight are especially likely to complain about sleep difficulties, including insomnia. She says studies show that you don't need to be going to the extremes of physical exertion to get the large majority of those sleep benefits. Kohn: Exercise promotes the release of immune factors, particularly wee little gems called cytokines which have a powerful sleep enhancing effect.
