AI and Precision Medicine: The Future of Diagnostic Tools
AI can be a life saver in situations where diagnosis is not so straightforward, actually propose a few rare diseases that might be the reason for the symptoms. And then obviously it's up to a physician to continue the diagnostic process and find out which of the rare diseases it is. I also think that I will be very helpful in precision medicine, because it helps us to cluster. Once this clustering of patients into subgroups is combined with drugs that work for these sub groups there will be much better treatments from an efficacy and possibly safety perspective for patients. So maybe I'm certainly positive about this possibility and I think it already will start happening soon.
