The Soul Is the Prison of the Body
The soul is your view of yourself and others view of you in that social spiritual space as described by Hegel's Geist, which is his hermetic formulation of reality. For queer theory, it's sex, gender, and sexuality that are the relevant things. That's the social spiritual space. So the social constructions of society become the prisons for the body. They force you to do your things with your body that you might not otherwise do. Queer resistance defies this with that raging, Gnostic motivation to throw off the prison of being. It uses hermetic, transformational, dialectical, deconstructive methodology.
