Is Your Methodology Working in a Language Class?
Teachers at the college level hold on to a very antiquated, non research base methodology. The idea that you have enough time in the class room alone to achieve really significant language gains is a pipe dream. There are wonderful people doing work and bringing all the resources sort of together into easily searchable spaces. And i think one thing is use the tools and the resources and seek them out. I was lucky in some ways because from a pretty young age i started to watch a lot of t v in chinese.
