The Fear of Dropping the Ball

Paul from Boulder, Colorado: I have a number of employees who are frustrated in their attempts to learn new skills by trying to clone their role models. If we believe that we are going to be able to level up by modeling all of the behavior of someone else, I think we're mistaken because leveling up requires a level of originality and responsibility which doesn't come from doing it like someone else. So what we've got to figure out how to do for the people we lead and manage and serve is get rid of theFear of dropping the ball.
