The Lancashire Cotton Famine

This is the poetry of the Lancashire cotton famine. It seems to be tying in a really global set of economic concerns. What's also interesting is that every single Lancashire dialect poet has a different spelling system. And that could be ascribed to each town because each town has a different dialect. There's an alankarish dialect. There are Lancashir dialects. I'll get some of the bigger picture context for this. So when does that happen? Who does it affect?
