Do you need to be eating any protein or fat the few days leading up, or should you only be eating carbs during this three day carb load if we're talking about the marathon? This has come up a lot on my one-on-one clients. I want you to prioritize your carbohydrates. After that, absolutely. If you want to add some protein, if you want to adding some fats, if you are do okay with some vegetables,. That's totally fine to add them, but I never want those foods to displace your carbohydrates.
